Current Work

As of late I've been working the garden center at the grocery store I work at.

But more importantly I have been working on a Moon Knight writing submission to send into marvel in hopes of getting it published as an annual. With the (short) story I am delving very deep into the psyche of this broken character. The Moon Knight character is actually made up of 5 distinctive characters. There is Marc Spector the original mercenary who all the other characters revolve around, his two alter egos, Steven Grant the millionaire playboy, and Jake Lockely the street wise cab driver, and the hero himself Moon Knight, when ever Spector dawns the cowl he becomes someone completely different. Then all these characters are taunted constantly by the Egyptian god Khonshu, the god of the Moon. There is a gap in the market for a good Moon Knight story, and I hope to, if nothing else, stir up interest in the character to make room for other writers to write a good Moon Knight story, because I really want to read some good ones again. After Benson's run on the character I feel marvel never fully utilized him.  outside of that not too much is happening.

C2E2

Today I spent my first day at the Chicago Comic and Entertaiment Expo as an aspiring writer, nerviousness aside I got my comic in the hands of some very important people. So I am very happy.

I've gotten my books into the hands of some awesome people including
Jason Howard (The astonishing wolfman)
Some random people
Reilly Brown (Cable and deadpool)
Skotti Young (The wizard of oz)
Jeph Loeb (The ultimates)

And here's the big one. The Joe Quesada (Marvel's Chief Creative Officer)

Tomorrow it's going to C.B. Cybulski marvel's head talent scout, and a man named Mark Smilely the head of a new publisher.

Expect futher updates to follow

First Two Pages

Seeing as Anti Hero is the very first comic related project I have ever worked on, I was hit with a surreal  feeling when I actually saw the first pages before me. They look amazing, Juan Garcés has done a great job on these. I'll get the dialogue in there very soon. Enjoy.

One con to the next.

In my great eagerness to break into the world of making comics I have been jumping from one convention to another, it's going on about three weeks straight of this now. I went down to Cincinnati (40 min) Nashville (4.5 hours) and Tomorrow I'm heading out to New York (14 hours)

It's fun, but exhausting. I'm meeting a lot of great people and getting my stories into a lot of people's hands.

Sorry for the lack of story related updates, here is a picture I did of Lobo for forgiveness.

Seeing as I will have some free time in the car on drive up, I will get an Anti Hero related post up soon.

Cincinnati Comic Expo

I just returned from the the first ever Cincinnati Comic Expo, it was awesome, met many great people and got some great contacts. I'm having trouble recalling how amazing it was and then I received an email from my artist, titled concept art. I opened it up and nearly died  when I saw the amazing work
Juan Garcés (juangarces.g@gmail.com) did of my characters. Here is his Deviant Art.
